ARK meets countless families during home assessments when we visit clients who have reached out for support. During these visits we are able to personally witness the dire state of the homes - most of which are unsuitable for living. Conditions generally include black mold, leaking roofs, non-functioning bathrooms/kitchens, termites, rodents and in many cases, homes with no utilities. 

 

ARK encourages & facilitates sponsors and community groups to come together to give these families hope through generous donations of money, materials, and time. By working together, ARK is able to raise their standard of living which has cascading effects into the rest of their lives. ARK believes that health and wellbeing begin at home, especially for children in their developmental years. If the home life is good, clean and stable, this will set a child up for success. Our CASA Program works seamlessly with our MER Program to improve the life prospects of these children and their families.

 

Hundreds of families are now living in safe, healthy and acceptable living conditions because of ARK's CASA program which has been changing lives for the better for the past 17 years.
